Couth and Uncouth states of america domains are a voice in an ocean. One day there may be voices in an ocean. I hope one day that the ocean will be raging to take back what we have lost.
The purpose of this site is an attempt to draw attention to problems with our wonderful country and the people who inhabit it. Americans in general no longer have the right to claim any kind of couth. Even those who are generally regarded as nice/good people seem to at times lack the most basic emotions of sympathy and empathy for those around them. With our society so completely disjointed and impersonal, the idea of asking how ones actions are affecting unknown people, or at times even known, simply never occurs to most people. Everyone at times feels an urgency to get that one car length farther down the road, even if it means cutting someone off or feels self rightously angry because their server checked in on them every ten minutes instead of every three minutes during dinner.
Some day, this society will hopefully learn that consideration for all of those around you is essential to the survival of the human race.
Prove me wrong and show someone you have Couth!
